Where To Eat After You Elope in Asheville

You meet.  You fall in love.  A proposal was made.  You plan your trip.  You Elope in Asheville!!

Now that the ceremony is over, what do you do?  Where do you go afterward?

In a traditional wedding, you would have a huge blowout reception party that would go late into the night.  According to TheKnot.com, for a 100-guest wedding, you would spend:

  • $7,000 for catering
  • $1,231 for a DJ
  • $540 for a cake
  • $252 for favors

That’s a total of $9,023 for, admittedly, a really fun party!

You aren’t having 100 guests.  You probably aren’t having 20 guests.  It may only just be the two of you, or you may have only your parents or your best friends along with you.

So, where do you go?  What do you do?

Where To Eat After You Elope in Asheville

Elope Asheville has been in business since 2010, and we almost always ask what our couples will be doing after their ceremony.  Here are some of the most popular places our couples go after their wedding:

Zambra Tapas & Wine Bar

elope in Asheville

Zambra’s is our favorite post-ceremony restaurant when you elope in Asheville. As their description on the website states:  “Zambra is a charming nod to the tastes and traditions of the Western Mediterranean, offering downtown Asheville a contemporary twist on fine wine and tapas.”  With a vast food menu that changes daily, there is truly something for everyone.  Since tapas are meant for sharing with the whole table, it adds to the feeling of a festive celebration.

Posana
Located in the heart of downtown Asheville, Posana stands out as one of the most elegant and romantic eateries in our city.  With a 100% gluten-free dedicated menu, anyone in your party will be able to enjoy one of the finest meals Asheville has to offer.  If it’s warm enough, you can sit outside and listen to musicians playing on the corner of Biltmore and Patton, or enjoy the warm and inviting atmosphere inside.  Whether you like duck, pork, New York Strip, or vegetarian, Posana strives to use as many local ingredients as possible to support Asheville’s local farms and economy.

Pack’s Tavern
For couples and groups who want a more relaxed atmosphere after they elope in Asheville, consider Pack’s Tavern located on the southern edge of Pack Square Park, their atmosphere is casual with an eclectic menu of delicious, fresh entrees, sandwiches, pizza, and salad.  Choose from a vast selection of beer, wine and cocktails as well as small-batch rootbeer always on tap.  If you have kids, this is a more family-friendly environment.  During the summer months, you can sit outside while kids run around and play in Pack Square Park.

Isa’s Bistro
Located on the pedestrian-heavy corner of Battery Park Avenue and Haywood St, Isa’s Bistro is, as the website proclaims, “European Inspired, Asheville Perfected!”  While the fare is inspired by French cuisine, the menu is specialized to celebrate the freshness of Western North Carolina’s seasonal harvest and fresh local produce.  Isa’s is particularly popular amongst our Elope Asheville couples who have larger guest counts because you can easily reserve tables and areas for 20 or more guests.

Of course, there are more restaurants in Asheville than we can even begin to write about.  However, these four restaurants, over the years, have been the most popular choices among our amazing couples and their guests.
